About the Role

We are seeking a creative and innovative UI/UX Designer to join our team. This individual would be responsible for creating user-centered designs for geographic information system (GIS) software user interfaces developed for products used in rugged off-highway mobile machine applications. The user interfaces you create will be used to control and monitor physical systems in Precision Agriculture, and Autonomous systems.

The Team

The JCA Technology Engineering team consists of 50+ engineers and developers with varied backgrounds and skills. At JCA, we thrive on the collective diversity and experience of the team. You will primarily be working with application engineers, system engineers, Front End developers and End Users.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and create personas to understand user needs and goals.
• Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
• Work with Engineering teams to ensure design is properly implemented.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and refine designs.
• Test designs with users to validate design solutions and gather feedback.
• Participating in design review sessions with project teams, acquiring consensus and approval on designs and documentation
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies, and share your knowledge with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer.
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to design user-centered solutions.
• Excellent skills in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
• Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Experience in creating and scripting animation such as SVG animation.
• Experience with user research and testing methods.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS is an asset.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
